Kids Yoga is a visual, auditory and kinesthetic curriculum - as it engages all the senses with postures from nature or familiar objects. This game is inspired by nature, to allow children to explore their creativity and share their unique ideas and perspectives on the world.
Have the children collectively make a list of natural phenomena like storms, clouds, rainbows, tornadoes, fire, etc. OR download and print our FREE resource! Ask your students to scatter around the room, then you or one of the children calls one of the phenomena from the list in any order or speed. Everyone else will create the called phenomenon with their bodies, using yoga poses they already know, newly invented poses, or creative movement. For added fun, make a sound to correspond with the called phenomenon.

- Scatter the cards around the room face down. Ask the children to move or dance freely, then when you shout out "nature kids!" they will go to the card closest to them, flip it over and act out the phenomenon using their bodies and voices. Fun!
- How about turning it into a guessing game? Sitting in a circle, each child will have a chance to choose one card and act out the selected phenomenon using their bodies and voices. The rest of the group will then have to guess what phenomenon they are representing.
