Just in time for the day after Earth day.... :) Here are a few ideas to share with your little yogis, because we all know that it's never too late to celebrate our earth & become more involved in caring for and preserving it's beauty and wonder!
I'd just like to say that all of these ideas are a compilation of the best of the best from many blogs and websites, including: Kids Yoga Stories, Mary Breath Yoga, Be Love Be Yoga, Shanti Generation, Yoga Dork & Bambino Yoga. Thank you to all of you for your inspiration!

In both of the plans, there is definitely WAAAAYYY too much content to complete in the suggested one hour time frame. Don't expect to get through all of it! Remember I've included the best of the best for you, so that means you can pick and choose which activities will work well with your group.
In my attempts to keep the main plan all on one page for you, I've explained each portion in the most concise way possible. If you have any questions, please post in the comments and I will be happy to elaborate.
Both of these class plans end with the same wonderful craft! Here are a couple samples from our group today. (I apologize for the aweful photography, time for a new iPhone!)

This template would be super easy to create on your own, but to save you some time I am including it in this post as well!

Have some squares of green and blue tissue paper cut and ready to rock. Ask the kids to decorate the earth first by slapping glue all over the large circle and placing the "water" and "land" on in a creative way! Next, glue the ribbon over top the earth & allow them to come up with & write down a special way that they would change the world. Hopefully your discussions at the beginning and throughout the class will have prompted some thought provoking ideas on how they can be the change!
May these classes bring your students plenty of joy, connection & a greater awareness of the amazing world around them & how they can play a part in it's longevity.
Wishing you brightness, boldness & youness! :) Let your light shine!
In love,
Vanessa
