Robyn Snow
Director & Magical Mermaid
Robyn (RYT-500) has dedicated herself to the practice, study and teaching of yoga since 2007, upon realizing how amazing it was while in high school. Originally trained in hatha yoga, Robyn has since expanded her teaching into yoga for all ages from fertility to senior’s yoga, but especially loves teaching young children. She has been working with Glow Yoga Kids since 2016 and still cannot believe that her "job" is spreading joy and connection to youngsters through yoga, her passion. Robyn is also a third level Reiki practitioner, which she utilizes to encourage connection and healing to people of all ages. She is an advocate for community, volunteering with the BGCBIGS program as well as fundraising for various causes. Her aim is to make the world a better place by spreading light and love everywhere she goes.
Misty Kuefler
Whimsical Wisp
Misty is passionate about working with kids and has done so for most of her career. She started working at a daycare while in high school, moved on to volunteering with The Girl Guides of Canada and then became a playschool teacher. She is a mom to three busy kids, two of which have special needs, therefore working with children with challenges is second nature to Misty. Having a personal yoga practice has been super important to Misty for many years and in 2019 made the choice to become a yoga instructor and a registered kids yoga instructor. She loves to sing songs, read books and incorporate mindfulness into her kids yoga classes.
Cheryl McConnell
Silver-Winged Goddess
Cheryl had her first encounter with Yoga over 6 years ago and is still as enraptured today as she was then! Just like her first time on the mat, Cheryl continues to feel ‘at home’ when she is practicing yoga. The more classes she attended, the more she wanted to learn so began to deepen her practice which lead her to Yoga Teacher Training, in Hatha yoga. Her mantra of ‘Learn, Blossom, Grow’ keeps her grounded and reminds her that being a student first brings new knowledge to expand and grow as an instructor. Cheryl embodies the Hatha principle to align and calm the mind, body and spirit and feels all the benefits yoga offers should be shared with everyone, especially kids!
Talia Shewchuk Magat
Mystical Elfin Goddess
Talia has always loved to move and groove! She began dancing at the age of 3 and continues to teach to this day. During her extensive training in dance she began practicing yoga. She enjoyed how yoga complemented her dance practice and loved how she felt after completing a class. During the Pandemic, while she was pregnant with her daughter, she decided it was time to delve deeper into the yoga practice and philosophy, and so she completed her 200 hr Yoga Teacher Training. She truly believes that our physical and mental health are linked and so much can be gained by moving our bodies and helping quiet our minds. She is extremely thankful to be part of the GLOW team and can't wait to teach you!
Lyn Mercado
Sphinx Starshiner
Lyn has been practicing yoga for 8 years and continues to learn patience, compassion and understanding thru her experience in mindfulness and movement. She love’s blending creativity and exploration into her practice, which then lead her to teaching Children’s & Teen Yoga. Mixing her personal touch of Mindfulness and Movement combined with ALOT of Fun is always a must! If Lyn can plant even a small seed of self -care into the hearts and minds of anyone who she is lucky enough to meet, is where she finds happiness.
Monique Merchant
Playful Pegasus
Monique (RYT-200) walked into her first yoga class over 20 years ago and fell in love with the body awareness, joy, mindfulness, and connection that yoga offers. She continued her yoga practice throughout her career as a high school math teacher and when Monique became a mother, she decided to meld together her love of yoga and her passion for teaching. Monique is grateful for every opportunity to build community and share the gifts of laughter, movement, and inner peace with people of all ages. She has been an active volunteer at her community league, neighbourhood play school and school, with the goal of making a positive impact wherever she can.
Lisa Cornell
Earth Fairy
Lisa’s yoga journey started over 20 years ago on the beaches of Jamaica and she has not looked back
since. Her appreciation and passion of the practice guided her through many of life’s journeys and when
she became a mom, yoga was there for her 2 children as well. As her personal practice grew and
deepened, Lisa wanted to share this beauty with others and completed her 200 Hour YTT in November
2020. Excited from this accomplishment and knowing that there was still so much more to learn, she
completed her Yin Level 1 and 2 then her 25 Hour Kids Mindful Movement where she found a whole
new love, fun and creativity in the practice. She loves the connection and confidence that yoga brings
to people of all ages and is very excited to bring the joy of yoga to your kids.

Jen Thompson
Destiny Dragon
I have a passion for yoga, in practicing and teaching. I love teaching yoga to all ages, but I have a special place in my heart for teaching children. It is remarkable to be a witness to their reaction to the world of yoga. Whether one is an adult or child, yoga brings a sense of body awareness and mind-body connection. I am honored and privileged to share yoga with others
Gabby Grekul
Sparkle Phoenix
Gabby is a long time yoga practitioner with a huge passion for knowledge and being a student. She turned to teacher training because of her hunger to know more. Now her passion has morphed into sharing yoga and the magic that’s woven within the tradition. Gabby chose the path of children to offer something she wishes she had as a little girl, an accessible opportunity to be physically active and to explore the body through a lense of non-judgement in a playful way. For Gabby teaching kids is also a beautiful reminder to not take life so seriously, a reminder of the magic of a child’s view on the world and to always be silly, playful and lead with your heart.
Abby Marshall
Gracious Griffin
Yoga first found Abby over 25 years ago, in her teen years, and she has been fascinated with human
movement for as long as she can remember. She has enjoyed movement especially in the forms of folk
dance, martial arts, contemporary dance, exploring the outdoors, and yoga. This led her to earning her
BSc in Kinesiology, including study in child development through Physical Activity and Dance. She's been
honoured to lead creative movement with many ages and populations from Prenatal, Parent and Baby,
and preschoolers, to high school students and college athletes, seniors, and those with varying health
conditions within clinical settings (cancer, obesity, osteoarthritis, and more). She loves learning, and
connecting with people to find healthy movement for their own current state, and seeing the wide
range of benefits to our both physical and mental health, that contribute to our quality of life.
